Synopsis

Teenaged Rachel lives isolated with her mother in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. She tries her best to learn the Christian healing craft of Braucherei from her devout Mudder, but her rambunctious spirit and love of death metal have her questioning her mother’s methods. In search of a teacher, she connects with the spirit of her dead Oma who introduces her to the forbidden craft of Hexerei… and reveals a dark family secret: the Wight who feeds on grief that has haunted her family for generations. Now Rachel must find her own spiritual path to save herself, her family, and her beloved pet cow.
