SHORT FILM: Let’s Leave the Planet!
Logline:
Tara is a bored stoner without much going on… until her boyfriend, Andy, tells her that he’s an alien and they should leave earth ASAP. But is he just messing with her, or what…?
Director Statement:
Let's Leave the Planet! is a love letter aliens and 90's stoner movies. Shot on a freezing cold roof after lockdown, this was our way of staying creative and making our own work during a very tough time. The film follows Andy and Tara, who are exploring their relationship, and the uncomfortable question…“Will you move in with me?” How do we navigate this question in love and uncertainty? How do we become vulnerable enough to jump into one another’s world (quite literally)? We hope you enjoy this film as much as we did making it.
